In 1995, Japanese developer Square released the epic masterpiece Chrono Trigger. Yasunori Mitsuda was elected to handle the music and set out to compose an esoteric soundtrack not confined to any genre. Unfortunately, after becoming ill Mitsuda was unable to complete the project. Seasoned Square composer Nobuo Uematsu was then brought in to finish the soundtrack along with Noriko Matsueda. The game is regarded as one of the best of all time with a soundtrack to match. Naturally, as a fan of the soundtrack it received the sample samurai treatment. Until The End of Time is a 14 track tape featuring classic 2pac songs from various albums carefully fused with select Chrono Trigger pieces. The name simply comes from 2pac’s album “Until The End of Time” which is also a recurring theme in Chrono Trigger. This project will obviously appeal most to those who have played Chrono Trigger and are somewhat familiar with 2pac’s music.
